Rates
One thing about tutoring that is different than some other work is that a tutor works in shorter time increments. The ratio of "time spent driving" to "time spent tutoring" is quite high. So my rates depend somewhat on location and length of session.
I generally charge $90 for one hour, prorated, with discounts for sessions longer than one hour. Since Covid, I mostly work via zoom and charge a discounted rate of $60 per hour for zoom sessions. I am located in the Deans section of South Brunswick.
I prefer to work near the South Brunswick/North Brunswick/Franklin Park/Somerset area. I have tutored in West Windsor/Plainsboro, Monroe and East Brunswick as well.
I like to get paid after every tutoring session, accounting for payments is my list favorite part of this work. I take Venmo, Paypal and Zelle.
I am very good at what I do. I have consistantly received very positive feedback from my clients, I am clear that I deliver a high quality product.
